International Trade Exhibitions In Kenya
The physical B2B international exhibition space in Kenya has been very active since the withdrawal of Covid-19 regulations by the Ministry of Health in March 2022. Covid-19 had a huge economic impact on the exhibition industry in terms of a drop in revenue, loss of exhibition-related output, loss of potential business volume for event participants and loss of so many full-time jobs.
The exhibitions have been aiming for trade expansion and partnerships between Kenya and countries across the world through the promotion of services and goods.
Some of the international exhibitions included Big 5 Construct managed by DMG Group, Agritec Africa, Ceramics Africa and much more. With the most recent exhibitions happening at the Sarit Centre — such as Big 5 Construct Kenya 2022, there is much hope that the year 2023 will be bigger and better.
Currently, Kenya has been focused on reviving its economy since its last elections in August 2022. Apart from that, Kenya has been experiencing food insecurity as a national emergency. Therefore, trade exhibitions such as Big5 Construct Kenya, and Agritec Africa that are centred towards addressing agricultural production solutions are a plus.
Therefore, the Kenyan companies involved in organizing these B2B trade fairs should be highly supported by the government through funding, and policy formulations in equal measure. This will ensure a favourable business operating climate and subsequently create new value chains and revenue streams for the government.
